Frequently Asked Questions
Coaching Services
Q: What types of coaching services do you offer?
Jane has developed her own coaching approaches based on her experience as a trauma survivor and a trauma sensitive teacher. She demonstrates gentle, inclusive self-regulation techniques by co-regulating with clients throughout sessions. While these self-regulating techniques are tailored to meet the needs of each client, all clients have the opportunity to learn specific breathing, acupressure, and writing practices to lessen traumatic reactivity and expand that “I’ve got this” feeling—the hallmark of self-efficacy and adult maturity.
At the end of each session, Jane reflects with the client to determine the most effective long-hand writing task that will expand insights gained during the session. Writing follow-up activities empower clients to know themselves through reflection on what their goals are as well as what their challenges are in achieving their goals. The reflection process initiated through cursive writing is a mainstay of her coaching approach. To learn more about cursive writing, please click here.
Q: How long are coaching sessions?
A: Standard coaching sessions are 60 minutes long. We also offer 90-minute intensive sessions for deeper work on specific projects or challenges.
Q: Where are coaching sessions conducted?
A: Through Zoom, which is a secure platform. Don’t worry if you don’t have a Zoom account; Jane sends a link to your email and you simply click on it. A window will pop up and Jane will admit you to her secure, private meeting room.
Q: What is your refund policy for coaching sessions?
A: All coaching sessions are non-refundable once booked. We recommend scheduling a free consultation call if you're unsure about fit before committing to a full session.
Q: Can I reschedule a coaching session?
A: Yes, sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. Same-day cancellations may result in forfeiture of the session unless due to emergency circumstances.
